Non-Profits and Companies

  1. LifeGR

I was first introduced to this non-profit, under a different name at the time, when my brother passed away. My brother, Matt, was a veteran who, in his civilian years, struggled to figure out how to live among those who didn’t know what it was like to be in combat. For him, it wasn’t just combat, though. My brother was in special forces. He was an aerial gunner on the PaveLow. I don’t know much about his missions or what he did, but I know he lost his best friend and battled with the guilt. Prior to his death, my brother was fortunate to have phenomenal therapy to help him turn his life around. Because of the treatment he received, he was also able to connect with some other men who had similar stories. The camaraderie changed his trajectory.

One of the young men he met, through his recovery process, was Jesse Johnson-Brower. This man has made it his mission to work with veterans who have PTSD. When my brother passed away, those who wanted to make donations could make them to LifeGR. The proceeds of those donations actually went to two places. One of those places benefitted other veterans through the non-profit. The other was a trust fund for my brother’s children.

Here’s what LifeGR does for veterans:
1. PTSD therapy. Currently, they have provided therapy to over 3000 veterans.
2. Extraction/Search and Rescue. This is an incredible service! Tier 1 and 2 operators perform rescue missions to find veterans and get them help through “resources and care.” They are often “extracted” from homelessness, narcotic use, addiction, and human trafficking.

Donated funds go directly to the resources, therapy, and search and rescue missions at a 96% rate!

The search and rescue missions have been 100% successful to date!

If you would like to donate to this incredible mission, please visit their website. You can read more, make a donation, or contact Jesse through VetGR .
