1. FLIP SOCKZ

This may seem like a strange place to promote products or businesses that seemingly have nothing to do with my journey, but there is a purpose to everything I do, so stick with me for a minute!

I ran across these socks as I was perusing one of the many hiking sites I follow on social media. I thought they had an interesting and extremely useful design. You see, I can have a microscopic piece of sand in my shoe and have to stop everything I am doing to take care of it. I am, in essence, the Princess and the Pea, but with things in my shoes. Flip Sockz solves this problem for me! They are thick winter socks made from merino wool like many other hiking socks, but the difference between these and regular hiking socks is that they have a built-in fold-down element that PREVENTS dirt and rocks or other debris from entering my boots!!!!

Flip Sockz has been around for only about one year. They currently only have the thick winter socks for sale as these were their inaugural product. By spring, they are hoping to roll out two new versions. Guys, these socks have changed the game for me! Whether you hike or not, these things are amazing!

If you can’t tell, I love these socks. I love them for the purpose they serve, but I love them for an even bigger reason. You see, shortly after I purchased two pairs, the owner, Ben, reached out to me. He has a mission for his company that I can really get behind. He would like to donate a portion of his sales to help support veterans and first responders who suffer from addiction, suicide attempts and/or ideation, homelessness, and more. He wants to support those who suffer from PTSD. He started a company called Grateful Living LLC to help him become an advocate for others. Here’s the catch: Ben is an incredibly busy, hard worker. He drives a truck nearly double time and has a small homestead farm. He would also like to open a coffee shop that is open for individuals attending AA and similar meetings. Ben has a dream, and I want to help him make some of this possible through my personal endorsement.
